Roster periods and publishing
A roster period is the time you plan and publish as one: a week, a fortnight or a month.
Set the period
The period belongs to the site, so every board at a site plans the same periods. Open Sites, select the site, and set both:
- Period: Week, Fortnight or Month.
- Period starts on: the day a period starts. The next periods follow on from it.
Then:
- The Roster grid shows one whole period, and the arrows move one period at a time.
- Generate fills the period on the board.
- Auto Schedule plans the period on the board. It changes nothing outside that period, and no shift that has already started.
- Rotating templates count their Cycle week from Period starts on.
Publish a roster
Each shift has a Publish state: Draft while you plan it, then Published when it is final for the team.
To publish a period, switch the Shifts page to its grid, select the period’s shifts and select Edit. Set Publish state to Published and save. You can also set it on one shift’s form. When you publish one part of a split shift, the other part is published too.
If you change a published shift, it goes back to Draft. Publish it again when it is final.
