1. Install the free scheduler

Download ChronaScheduler-<version>.zip from the latest release and import the managed solution under Solutions. Give people the Chrona Scheduler User role. Bind Title, Start and End on a view. Open the view and drag.

2. Try Optimize

On the board, select Optimize. The dialog shows what a sample run does before and after, and exactly what a real run would send. Select Try a free sample run to connect your environment. There is no sign-up form.

Three completed runs a day are free.

3. Roster with Workforce Scheduler

When scheduling turns into rostering: skills and roles, availability, hours against capacity, demand and coverage, shift templates, roster periods with publish. Same board, more tables.

What you need

A table with a start and an end.

Bookings, jobs, shifts, visits: any table works. If you are starting from nothing, the install guide walks through creating one.

Install guide
  • A Power Platform environment with Dataverse, where you are a System Administrator or System Customizer
  • A table with a text column for the title and date-and-time columns for the start and the end
  • For lanes, a lookup to the person or asset each row belongs to
  • Web and Tablet. The phone layout is not part of this release
